도전! 메리어트 호텔 플래티넘 SC(Status challenge)

작년 월드마스터카드 프로모션으로 SPG골드 ->등급매칭으로 메리어트 호텔 골드가 되고나서

정작 여행을 못가서 써 먹을 일이 없었는데 이제 여행 계획이 잡혔으니 본격 티어관리에 나섰다.

 

SPG와 달리 메리어트 호텔은 골드 등급만 되도 2인까지 라운지 이용 과 조식을 제공하기때문에 혜택이 좋은 편인데

작년 등급 매칭으로 달린 골드는 유효기간이 짧다는게 문제였다.

 

이게 또 등급 매칭을 언제 했냐에따라 유효기간이 다른것 같아서 고객센터에 내 골드등급 유효기간을 문의 했다.

내 골드 등급 유효기간은 2019년 1월까지!

그럼 올해 여행에선 골드 혜택을 즐길 수 있다는 이야기~

 

이전에도 올린적 있지만 메리어트 호텔의 등급별 혜택을 보면..

골드와 플래티넘의 가장 큰 차이는 보너스 포인트 적립률과 도착 환영 선물 정도?

 

 

플래티넘 엘리트가 되려면...750일 숙박을 해야한다.

나같이 출장도 없는 직장인이 호텔 750숙박이란...불가능에 가깝다고 본다.

물론 달성하는 분들도 많긴 하지만 나는 어렵...-_);

 

하지만 메리어트 호텔에는 등급SC(Status challenge)가 있다!

골드 등급에서 플래티넘 등급으로 SC하면 지정된 기간동안 총 9박을 완료 해야한다.

주의할 점은 9QN이 아니라 9QS라는점! = 9번 예약

처음엔 메일로 신청 보냈는데 답변없이 깜깜 무소식.

5월 여행 예약할 시점이 다가와서 채팅에 도전했다.

 

메리어트 공홈에서 채팅으로 Status challenge 하고싶다고 했더니 바로 ok받았다.

친절한 Sarah씨가 나에게 준 대답은 이렇다.

 

On behalf of Marriott Rewards Guest Services, please allow me to extend the offer of a Platinum Elite Status challenge. If you accept this offer, your account status would be upgraded to Platinum Elite after the following terms have been met.
In order to achieve this status, you must accumulate nine separate paid stays beginning with the date your account is registered for the offer, through July 31, 2018. Please note that this is a one-time offer.
A stay is all consecutive nights you personally stay at a participating hotel.

Once you have accumulated nine separate paid stays, your account status would be upgraded to Platinum Elite through January, 2020. To retain this status for all of 2020, you would need to accrue the qualifying number of Elite nights during 2019. Would you like me to enroll you into this challenge?

I have now registered your account for the Platinum Elite Status Challenge. This registration is pending and will begin tracking your progress beginning with your next stay.
